Here's a fun little session I was able to capture a few weeks ago between rain storms. It was quite the adventure to say the least!
This beauty will graduate in the next couple of months and is heading to college on a softball scholarship. Way to go girl!

Anything Like Me: Tulsa Photographer
You know those families you meet and you immediately want to shrink them into tiny people for a minute so they'll fit in your pocket? You know, so you can take them home and cherish them forever?
Yeah, that's how I felt about this family.
In most families you can sense the love they share for one another, but when there are little people involved I think the love overflows. Well, at least you see it more plainly.
Children can't help but show affection for the ones they love, be it mom, dad, brother, sister, you get the point. You can see it in their eyes, in their expression or even the giddy squeels they display as they run towards the one they love.
It makes me happy. Families make me happy. They remind us of the love in the world.
And, if you're super lucky like I was, they'll show their love through the displaying of their belly buttons! Remember that post!
So, sit back, relax, grab a morning/afternoon snack and enjoy the lastest family I wanted to put in my pocket and take home. This little one's tu-tu and giddy squeels were enough to make me love them forever!
Yes, my child will for sure be wearing a tu-tu with a bow in her hair. It's alreaady pre-determined.
Can you get a more photographic family? Seriously. Beautiful.
One of my favorites. They look so much alike.

Manic Music Monday: Tulsa Wedding Photographer
It's Manic Music Monday!! If you've been on vacation and need a re-cap of previous posts, well then click on my friends.
This week's song has been on my playlist for a few weeks, but it never seems to get old. It's kind of one of those strong-faced girl power songs, which honestly, my description makes me laugh. I love her raspy voice and how she just lays everything out on the table in this song.
I've got quite a bit of photo fun'ness to bring you this week, so make sure and check back tomorrow. It's gonna be a good one! I'll give you a hint. Remember the belly buttons from last week???

Motivational Design: Tulsa Photographer
You dream of colors that have never been made. You imagine in songs that have never been played.
This is Megan. Imaginative. Inspirational. Motivated.
She will graduate this spring and venture out into the world of graphic design... for a degree that is. Obviously this excites me to see fellow artists going after what they love.
Megan, congratulations on your awesome achievement and 'go get 'em' in the design world!

Three Little Belly Buttons: Tulsa Photographer
So, if you grabbed that thing we like to call a dictionary, pulled it off the shelf, blew the dust off it's cover and looked up the word slacker, what do you think the definition would be? You really want to know? OK. Fine, twist my arm. It's ME. I have owned the definition slacker this week.
Well, let's be fair to me for one minute. I had a huge event to get ready for which consumed all but enough of my time to let me sleep, so, even though I constantly thought about how I needed to blog some new stuff, my life just wouldn't let me.
What does this mean for you... it means this is my way of saying I'm sorry and I hope I didn't lose you all forever. I still want to be friends. I still want to bake cookies and make friendship bracelets. Are you still interested? GREAT! see I like to answer for you all so I feel like you're listening.
And, since you all have been on the edge of your seat wondering what entertaining things have taken place in my life - I'll oblidge and fill you in.
Belly buttons!!! Or maybe it's just a sneak peak to a few things to come. These three little bellies just warm my heart. Love.
I promise I'm back. I have lots of lovely things to post for you all so stay tuned!

- I got my new passport today. The hubs and I are almost ready to begin our jet-setting trips!
- I shot a family this past weekend who had one particular 20-month old member of the fam that was obsessed with belly buttons. Cutest thing of my life. Don't think I'll ever think of belly button's the same.
- Bad news. Terrible! Some very rude individual decided it'd be a really awesome idea to slam their car door into my 3 week old car. RUDE! If you know me personally on FB then you know what my new car is and I'm beyond IRRITATED! Newsflash, if someone parks way out in a parking lot all by themselves and has a nice car DO NOT PARK DIRECTLY NEXT TO THEM! They are obviously walking an extra hundred steps to stay away from your car! off my soapbox now.
- While looking over the new passport today the hubs asks, what language is E pluribus unum and what does that even mean? I think it's Greek, he says. Wrong. Wikepedia informed us it's Latin. Don't say I never educated you on anything, internet.

Two-Timer: Tulsa Engagement Photographer
They can thank fate... or if they want to be honest they can thank Jazi's courageous ability to ask two different guys to attend her twenty-first birthday bash... held the same night.
It's true. Sweet little Jazi had interest in two guys, so she did what any good girl would do, she invited both to come out with she and her friends for her twenty-first birthday. Lucky for her, Luke was the only guy that showed up.
Now, six years later, med-school almost completed and faced with the task of finally growing up, these two are set to say I-do... in about 14 days.
Jazi & Luke I'm so excited for you guys. I lay in bed at night anticipating your big day and just how wonderful it's going to be!
But, until then, I'll just continue looking at these to remind myself how gorg you both are.
Oh, and friends? If you're interested you can take a gander too. I promise you won't be disappointed one bit.
She's beyond beautiful. She belongs in a magazine.
This is their pup Dudley. If you're in his comfort zone you just need two words to get that look on his face.
Aaand, not to constantly repeat myself, but I'm going to repeat myself....
If you love Jazi & Luke as much as I do, you can view their entire session below.

Hawaii'an Glory: Tulsa Senior Photographer
What a fun guy this Joshua is. From the moment he e-mailed me I could sense his energy and enthusiasm.
This guy is graduating from High School in a few short weeks, and when I asked him where he would be attending college he replied with a nonchalant... BYU...HAWAII. Seriously? How can you just spring it on a girl that you're about to go to college in Hawaii. Not fair. And definitely not cool. Joshua, I think you should have just left it at BYU and kept the Hawaii part for yourself.
I then had to run home and tell Caleb all the reasons why I needed to go back to school... in HAWAII. He hasn't bought into any of them yet, but don't you fret for one little minute friends, I'm a persistent little gal.
So, here he is in all his HAWAIIan glory: Joshua... before he gets all tan living in paradise.
Aaaand, because everyone loves a good slideshow - check out his full session & leave him some comment love. don't skip out on the comment part, it makes me sad.

Trust Me On This One: Tulsa Photographer
Friends, meet Katie. She's young, beautiful, and a student at my Alma Mater. woohoo!
This spring Katie will graduate and wonder out in this big world - I think she's ready! She is a construction management major and, like we all were, is ready to get out and start her life. And to that, I say to you Katie, STAY! Stay in school as long as you can. Grown up life doesn't come with Spring Break, Christmas Break, Thanksgiving Break... or heck, you dont' even have the option when you wake up each morning to think.. hmm... do I want to go to class today? Nah, it's too nice outside. So, STAY Katie. Pick another major. I promise you'll thank me later.
But, since I know you're going to go ahead and graduate, Congratulations! Proud of you sister!
So, without further ramblings, friends, meet Katie.

Manic Music Monday: Tulsa Wedding Photographer
Everyone's favorite Monday post... Manic Music Monday! Did you miss last week's post? It was a GOOD one... go back and take a look... once you've listened to this week's fun song, that is.
So, a few key points that need to pointed out from this past weekend.
1. I got a new coffee table this weekend. Now, I know what you're thinking. Not a big deal. Oh, but it is. I've wanted a coffee table for months. Now I can kick my feet up as I write this pretty blog to you all.
2. These weathermen KILL me. It was suppose to be in the 60's this weekend and my engagement session ended up with drizzle and 50 degree weather. FAIL weathermen. FAIL!
Love this song. LOVE. It makes me jump up and dance around my house. I kid you not. As I sat here writing this post and listening to the song the ubs gave me a few glances this direction as I bobbed my head around. What can I say, it makes me happy!
And, if you're love it, check out The Nicest Thing. Another Kate Nash Song.
Enjoy! and have a great week!

All I'm sayin' is...
I generally don't post on Fridays... as you may have gathered so now you're probably all..."Whaaa???".
I know. It's OK. I have one thing to say.
The Bachelor Finale is Monday!!! Don't ask me why I'm still obsessed with this show. I've watched it since High School and can't seem to get enough... although I always seem upset once it's over because we all know they never pick who we want.
I know, I know. I said I had ONE thing to say, so with that, I'm done.
See ya Monday!

Marry Me: Tulsa Engagement Photographer
Like the beginning of every love story, she saw him from across the room in class but never gathered the nerve to do anything about her infatuation. She would glance in his direction several times throughout their 60 minute class, but gut-wrenchingly enough, the glance was never returned. She was intreagued by someone who didn't even know she existed.
That's how she saw their story anyway.
Kyle. Well, he knew who she was. He watched her out of the corner of his eye every time she walked into class... not wanting her to see his eager stare. You know, because it's down right embarassing if she didn't feel the same way. He had to play cool. But deep down he wanted nothing more than to be with her. He watched for weeks as she walked in and out of class. As she was paired with other classmates on group projects - never with him. The semester was ending and the eager hopefulness that something could happen between them began burying itself deep down inside him. The one he knew he was destined to find was right in front of him but she didn't even know he existed.
That's how he saw their story anyway.
This is how most love stories begin, don't they? Does Juliet always get her Romeo? Not always.
She was out with friends and spotted him from across the room. This time she knew she had to say something. School was coming to a close and everyone would soon be making their way back to their home towns. If she didn't gather up the courage to approach him she may never see him again. She may be the girl that lives out her life with a 'what if...'.
And with that their love story made a true beginning. Jenn scrounged up every courageous bone in her body and walked, step-by-step, towards the one she had wanted all semester long.
The conversation that once consisted of exchanged glances and shy smiles has morphed into 'Will You Marry Me?'.
This fall the boy that felt rejected will marry the love of his life who, not that long ago, thought he saw right through her.
Jenn & Kyle. I am so happy for you guys. Your love is contageous and I'm excited for the life you all are about to share together.
And because these two are awesome - here's their complete session slideshow.

Bless Her Heart: Tulsa Photographer
There are things we learn as we mature that allow us to describe people in phrases. Girl with a heart of gold. Girl next door. Those type of phrases. I never understood why we used them until I met this beauty: She's all the phrases we ever learned growing up all rolled into one.
Dea will graduate in a few short months and make her way to my Alma Mater's worst nightmare: the University of Oklahoma. Bless her heart. Another phrase we learn growing up that allows us to say 'I feel sorry for you' in a nice Southern way. But anyway. Miss Dea, in all her talent, will be trying out for the OU cheer squad in the next couple weeks. For that, I may have to cheer for her. Her. Not OU.
She's gracious. Beautiful. Kind. Loving. Energetic. Shy and astroundingly gorgeous. (I know, I already called her beautiful, but she deserves gorgeous as well). She's the kind of girl you want your daughter to be. The kind of girl that is beautiful from the inside out - and it shows!
So take a gander. And if you love her... leave her some love in the comment section. And if you love her a whole whole lot, you can cheer for her as an OU Cheerleader... but only as a cheerleader. Leave all that other love for my Alma Mater. Go Pokes!
I'm tellin' ya - she's gorgeous!!
And because everyone always wants icing on their cake - Dea's complete session slideshow.

We're back! Another Manic Music Monday!
I've mentioned in past posts how much I LOVE music. I think it brings such emotion out of people, which is probably why I'm drawn to it.
This past week I've had this beauty on repeat on my computer. I was sitting in my car last week waiting on the hubs to run in a store and this came on the radio. I was immediately struck and have had it on repeat ever since. It was love at first... hearing? Anywho.. go take a listen. Let me know what you think. I hope you are struck as much as I was.

Little B & The Secretary That Could
Little B is about to become a BIG SISTER! Her momma's due in less than a month and from the convo's I had with little miss B, she's super excited about it. So excited that throughout our shoot she told me she had to make a few phone calls to insure everything was in line for her newest edition to the fam. What can I say, she's a bit of a perfectionist!
She managed to fit in a few glam shots for me between phone calls.
Momma & Little B - Thanks so much for our fun session. B is going to be such a good big sister!

Baby Blue+Paint+Questions: Kisses & Disses
It was our weekly 'what are your plans for the weekend' conversation that we always have. He looked at me and asked that very daunting question that never ceases to put an enourmous amount of pressure on myself... don't ask me why - I just feel the need to have something extravagant planned. So how do I respond? 'I'm going to paint the living room and entry way'. How's THAT for big plans! I felt very successful in that moment. That is... until I actually sat back and thought about all the other 'things' I had on my plate and how I had just nonchalantly added painting our entire living room and entry way... including ceilings... into my weekend plans. Was I a complete idiot!?!
So friends, I need to confess. The weekend has passed and now my living room has been painted three whole times. THREE. White - prime. Baby blue- the paint swatch swore to me it was grey. And now and actual grey - sigh of relief. AND...to add insult to injury, every piece of furniture is sitting, for the fourth day in a row, in the middle of the room. I'm beginning to get a little sick when trying to watch tv considering I have a 61inch TV sitting approximately a foot in front of my face. If you want to look at the silver lining I guess I could compare it to being in a movie theater but having to sit on the very front row. Awesome. Maybe I should start taking some motion sickness pills before I sit down to watch Modern Family tonight.
And with that, I bring you another edition of Kisses & Disses.
*The beautiful new grey paint color in my living room. And accomplishing half of my weekend goal by completely finishing the paint project in my entry way.
*The Mr. bought me a new car. She's bright and shiny and red. And I love her completely.
*Sinking my iPhone with my email calendar. Genius! I know, a little behind the times, but yesterday I was shown the light. I feel so organized now! Before I had 4 calendars and would have to write things 4 times to make sure I was always on track. The hubs never knew when I had shoots. Poor guy.
*The question 'What are your plans for the weekend'. You just can pressure people. It's just not right! They end up committing to things that are insane.
*Since we're in the safe zone - I think it's OK to admit to you all I'm a bit of a TV junkie... kind of. I love me some Teen Mom. For Real! So I'm not sure if this is a kiss or a diss. But Janelle. I hate that she can't be a mom to her precious little boy, but smoking pot on the front porch? Really?
*The color baby blue. I use to be Ok with it until I woke up Sunday morning and my grey living room had morphed into a pale blue little boy's room over night. Rude.

Better When We're Together: Tulsa Engagement Photographer
They met in High School but parted ways when it came time to choose colors for college. Well, not parted ways as in splitting up, but more of parting the schools they decided to attend. Lindsey attended the Univeristy of Oklahoma and Ty ventured to Oklahoma State university, 90 minutes from his other half.
Just as most long distance love stories play out - these two didn't make it long distance. They couldn't handle being apart. NO they didn't break-up, geez nobody likes those kinds of love stories! This is a happy blog people! After her Freshman year Lindsey transfered to OSU to be closer to the one she knew she had to marry. It was that moment that solidified their relationship.
A few short years later as the two went on a walk through Theta Pond Ty got down on one knee and asked the question that makes every guy's knees shake. He asked Lindsey to spend the rest of her life with him.
Now, six years later their laughter together is just as strong as it was when they met in High School.
Lindsey & Ty - there is nothing more to say than... You're Awesome! Thanks so much for letting me into your lives for a small moment in time. You guys were a blast!
And just in case you haven't had your fill yet... You can check out more from their session below! But make sure you make them feel loved and tell them how good they look in the comment section listed below!!!
Thanks for a super fun session you two! I had a blast!
