Dea will graduate in a few short months and make her way to my Alma Mater's worst nightmare: the University of Oklahoma. Bless her heart. Another phrase we learn growing up that allows us to say 'I feel sorry for you' in a nice Southern way. But anyway. Miss Dea, in all her talent, will be trying out for the OU cheer squad in the next couple weeks. For that, I may have to cheer for her. Her. Not OU.
She's gracious. Beautiful. Kind. Loving. Energetic. Shy and astroundingly gorgeous. (I know, I already called her beautiful, but she deserves gorgeous as well). She's the kind of girl you want your daughter to be. The kind of girl that is beautiful from the inside out - and it shows!
So take a gander. And if you love her... leave her some love in the comment section. And if you love her a whole whole lot, you can cheer for her as an OU Cheerleader... but only as a cheerleader. Leave all that other love for my Alma Mater. Go Pokes!
I'm tellin' ya - she's gorgeous!!
And because everyone always wants icing on their cake - Dea's complete session slideshow.
Gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteDear Dea,
ReplyDeleteWell, I just received your Mom's note and link to your senior photos, and I'm so happy she did send this to me. Allison did a great job, and her subject indeed is most beautiful. We met at an NCDA conference, and don't worry, you won't remember. I do because your Mom had you do a cartwheel in the hotel!
It's interesting that your Mom sent this link today, because March 8th is the celebration of International Women's Day, in appreciation and love towards women and to acknowledge their economic, political and social achievements. Actually all of March is a celebration of National Women's History. So Dea, this is a wonderful and Blessed day to debut your senior photos!
I wish you all the best as you finish out your senior year and head to OU where your Mom and Dad will actually be cheering at an OU game!!
I also wish you much happiness and success in all your career-life roles as you contribute your own special talents to our world.
Warm regards, Ed Colozzi
Allison, you did such an amazing job with these pictures, and with your description of the young lady Dea has grown up to be. I've had the pleasure of watching her grow up. I met Dea when she was a little bity 6th grader and I was a sophomore. We did gymnastics together. I think of Dea as the little sister I never had. I babysat her and her little sister for 3 years, and have worked for her mom for the past 2 summers. I feel like a part of their family. Dea is such an amazing young lady, and I have been so blessed to be a part of her life. I can't believe she's graduating high school and is trying out for cheer at OU (ew..GO POKES!). I encouraged her to try out for cheer as an 8th grader and helped her with the tryouts. It is so amazing to see how awesome she has gotten! I am so proud of the things she has accomplished and the woman she is turning out to be. She is absolutely beautiful inside and out. I got teary eyed looking at these pictures. Dea Sheree I am SO proud of you! I love you soo much sweetheart! Keep being the amazing person you are! :)
