Take It For What It Is: It's Emotion.

I would cry, but not because I was sad.  I felt for the people in the songs, in the movies, in the books.  You see, I've always been attracted to depressing things.  Yes, that may sound a bit odd, but hear me out.  In depressing songs you get emotion.  You get to feel how someone else is feeling.  See what they are going through and relate to it.  You get emotion.  Gut-wrenching emotion.  And that's what draws me in.  These types of things make me feel something deep down.
So, call it what you want.  Call it strange.  But I want to feel.  I want to relate to what people go through.  This is why I'm a photographer.  With an image you can look at it and if it's a good one, see emotion.  You can feel the love, fear, curiosity.  You can feel something.

Caleb get's a little crazy sometimes with my 'feelings'.  When I find a new song I like, it goes on repeat for days.  Seriously.  "Can we pleeease listen to something else.  Anything else!"  Nope.  I get hooked on the emotion in the lyrics.  Right now, it's "The Nicest Things" by Kate Nash.  The tones in the song.  The lyrics.  They all come together to make me feel something.  It's filled with words and emotions we've all felt before. Check it out.  I'm sure you'll feel something deep.
